2.3.0 Release date: March 17, 2015

quilliup 2.3 introduces the Data Validation wizard, empowering users with an easy and simple interface to create data rules on any data source.

We also improved some of our features from the last releases and fixed some bugs!

Data Validation Rules Wizard

Data conformity, uniqueness, structure and relevance are every day challenges users experience with data. From knowing if the data is kept in the right pattern (like Email or Cell phone number) to making sure that an insured customer data is kept with relevant and correct details (for example a customer cannot be listed owning car insurance policy if he is under the driving age according to the record date of birth).

Financial and regulation rules can be enforced and documented, manual excel file validation can be automated and save a lot of time and effort.

We are proud to introduce our new Data Validation test wizard. The powerful wizard enables any user to define critical business rules or technical rules on any data source in a user friendly builder, no code is necessary.

Connect your raw data from any data base, file or any data source from our supported list and apply any kind of rule on the data to make sure your data applies to critical rules. You will be alerted when any violation occurs, failed data details will be accessible for you to investigate and fix the issue.

Global rules can be applied by sharing your data rule to the library and re-using them on any relevant data source.

If our library of functions did not contain what you need, you can also develop your own custom function to be added to the library by using our Java Script rule builder.

• [VAPP-3417] - The ability to deploy with or without variable values was added to the deployment/import.
• [VAPP-3483] - Improvements related to system security were implemented.
• [VAPP-607] - History result files are now kept for a limited period and cleansed as part of the system automatic maintenance. History dept can be modified at the Administration settings.
• [VAPP-3306] - Data sets at the test canvas are now automatically connected to the rule if added after the data set/s.
• [VAPP-3307] - Improvement in test canvas lay out when adding new objects.

Bug Fixing

• [VAPP-3284] - Search on column with Boolean type for Redshift was fixed.
• [VAPP-1996] - Email is sent empty without test details and failure cause when a test is failed to execute.
• [VAPP-2070] - Count distinct (unique) aggregation function now applies also on string values at the aggregation compare test.
• [VAPP-2939] - A problem with data set columns containing the name "class" was fixed.
• [VAPP-3150] - Decimal values are not fully displayed in test results.
• [VAPP-3158] - Compare test results difference values are now rounded up to precision of 4 places.
• [VAPP-3163] - Unnecessary Warning sign appeared on the KPI rule on different scenarios .
• [VAPP-3264] - KPI test result is passed instead of alert although the results contains alert values.
• [VAPP-3266] - Failure in executing valid scripts from execution flows.
• [VAPP-3268] - Oracle timestamp data type was not supported in compare test.

• [VAPP-3367] - Bad configuration is shown in specific scenarios although the test was executed successfully, and last run is empty.
• [VAPP-3463] - Decimal column when value is very low and close to 0 fails with an error in the compare rule.
• [VAPP-3489] - All tests are kept with a first version of a default test type - Agg Compare, this info is displayed on upload of the test result once the test type was changed. This issue was fixed and will no longer appear.
• [VAPP-3530] - Network locations are now search able.
• [VAPP-3538] - On specific cases, compare results did not display the different values data, only the info bar with the total number of failed different values.

Known Issues Fixed in 2.3

• [VAPP-3482],[VAPP-3395] - License embedded limitation of 10,000 rows in QVD files was removed.
• [VAPP-2562] - Oracle 12 repository issues related to the quartz scheduling tables were solved.
• [VAPP-2852] - Execution is now enforced and not only alerted when connecting more the one data set to other rules but the Compare.
• [VAPP-3220],[VAPP-3457],[VAPP-3458] - Deployment issues were fixed. Issues were related mainly to the deployment operation is applied with an empty project id. Additional issues were fixed on customer sites where more than one system admin default user applied (happened where first beta versions were installed and later upgraded).
• [VAPP-3288] - Performance parameters at the test settings are now blocked for KPI test as it is not supported (KPI test does not contain the distribution mechanism and is limited for up to 150,000 rows after grouping the data).
• [VAPP-3335] - Variables list in threshold value now contains only numeric variables.

Known Issues Released in 2.2

• Postgres database will not be supported as an optional repository for quilliup platform.

Bug Fixing

• [VAPP-3415] - When using a key column which contains NULL values, which are not supported as part of the key, there is no relevant error message.
• [VAPP-3479] - Search is case sensitive when data source is Oracle.
