Abbreviations used in this manual:

- QG – Quality Gates
- RDA – Reference Data Admin
Administration Module
The Administration module allows the quilliup Admin user to configure all system settings.
User and Group Management
- Admin users can create new Users and/or Groups of Users.
- The platform enables Admin users to define both application Users and AD Users, as well as application Groups.
- A user is required in order to log in to the quilliup platform.
Groups
- Groups are an optional component of the platform’s permissions model.
- They are particularly relevant when working in AD mode, where permissions are managed directly through AD groups, or when the same permissions need to be assigned to multiple users simultaneously.
- Application Groups enable more complex permission models:
- A user can belong to multiple Groups.
- Users inherit authorization settings from the Groups they belong to.
- The permissions model can rely solely on application Roles and Groups. Changes are applied simply by assigning or removing a user from a Group.
System Settings
- Within the Administration module, general system settings can be defined (such as Email settings, AD settings).
- In addition, each platform module (such as QG, RDA, etc.) has a dedicated configuration section where its specific settings can be managed.
