3.3.3 QlikSense Data Sets

Abbreviations, used in manual:

QS - QlikSense

Reload metadata - will create a folder in the QS path (set in "System Admin -> System Settings -> General Settings -> System Properties -> QlikSense -> QlikSense Temporarily Files Location") with *.csv files for all Bookmarks, Objects, Sheets related to chosen QS application. If the *.csv files already exist => they will be recreated/updated.

Applications list - will be displayed from the *.csv file (created on "Test connection" in related Data Source in format TimeStamp_ apps.csv) with the latest refreshing date.

If clicking the refresh icon near the Last update => the file TiemStamp_apps.csv will be recreated/updated. No need to click it again unless list of QS applications were changed.  

Show only objects with title - when marked => only objects that have title in QS application will be shown.

Bookmark - choose a Bookmark from the list of exiting Bookmarks in chosen QS application in order to filter the Objects.

Clear Bookmarks - clear Bookmark selection.

Sheet Name - choose a Sheet from the list of exiting Sheets in chosen QS application in order to filter the Objects.

Object Type - choose object type (supported by quilliup) in order to see only objects of chosen type .

QlikSense Object - choose needed Object by name from shown list (values depend on filters chosen in previous fields: Bookmark, ...) and click "Refresh Columns" button. A *.csv file with all object's columns will be created. If clicking the Refresh columns *.csv file will be recreated/refreshed.

Note: if the column name contains comma => for quilliup it is invalid, a warning message will be shown!

Qlik Sense objects supported by quilliup:

• Bar chart
• Combo chart
• List box - filter contains many list boxes 
• Scatterplot
• Table
• KPI
• Pie chart
• Gauge
• Text-image
• Line Chart - isn’t supported if contains more than one dimension
• Pivot-table - isn’t supported if contains more than one dimension

Note: in case any of the objects contains more than one dimension an error message will appear: "The selected object contains more than one dimension" (when it's a pivot table or a line chart etc server can see that when it gets more than one dimension it doesn't get all the columns (only the measures), so it’s caught and returns an error message that there is more than one dimension).

• Map and tree map types aren't supported.

• In filter pane, its' items are supported and not filter pane as an object.

• The default is to present only objects with titles (checkbox “Show Only Objects With Title”).

Alternative Dimensions & Measures

If your object includes Alternative Dimensions / Measures - they won't be shown in quilliup.

Only the main dimension(s) / measure(s) are supported.
