In the left side menu select "System Settings -> General Settings -> Email Settings":
Fill in Email Server Properties:
SMTP Server Host Name - SMPTP server name or IP address.
SMTP Server Port - port 25 is the default port used to transport or communicate email across the Internet using the SMTP protocol. Other ports can also be in use, for example, 2525 or 587, and secured SMTP (SSL/TLS) ports - 465 or 25 or 587, 2526. Ensure that chosen port is not blocked or used by any other process.
SMTP Server User Name - your SMTP server authorized user name.
SMTP Server Password - SMTP server authorized password.
SMTP Server Connection Timeout - integer value representing seconds. Default value is 20 seconds. From quilliup version 2.9.0 the values needs to be 5000 or higher.
SMTP Server Communication Timeout - integer value representing seconds. Default is value is 20 seconds. From quilliup version 2.9.0 the values needs to be 5000 or higher.
SMTP Authentication Enabled - mark the check box as default. This will always enable SMTP authentication when accessing server which requires this option.
Use TLS Security - enable TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol over SMTP connection. Mark the check box when enforced by your SMTP server.
Use SSL Security - enable the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol over SMTP connection. Mark the check box when enforced by your SMTP server.
Sender Email Address - from Email address for the emails sent from quilliup. The email address should be available on the SMTP server. It is recommended to have a separate sender name for each installed environment.
Limit to External Domains - allows emails to be send to restricted addresses which are outside of the organization domains.
Enable Data Within Email Body - applicable when the "Limit To External Domains" is enabled. This property allows the data to be sent as part of the email alert to external addresses.
Enable Excel Attachment - applicable when the "Limit To External Domains" is enabled. This property allows for data Excel attachment to be sent as part of the email alert to external addresses.
Show Full Log Of Email Sending - add detailed email sending log rows to quilliup log files.
Troubleshooting SMTP Connectivity
If you experience any issue with the SMTP configuration, you can easily troubleshoot SMTP connectivity.
Click "Test Settings Validity" button and in the opened form insert required email address into the field "Email Address", click "OK" button:
In case of success, next message will be shown in quilliup UI:
And next email will be received:
