1.5.3 General Settings

QG - Quality Gates

DV - Data Validation

EF - Execution Flow

This manual contains all the details related to General Settings of the QG module.

Go to "System Admin -> System Settings -> Quality Gates Settings -> General Settings":

Note: the default settings were configured to align with the product's best practices.

Execution settings section: 

Sample Execution Chunk - chunk size for a sample test run (relevant for Compare tests).

Column to Index - by default the most unique column for the first 1000 rows will be automatically chosen.  Can be customized on Test level.

Priority - default value is 50. As assigned to each test execution, executions are returned in order by priority ascending list.

Number of threads - used for chunk deviation by threads. Value can be between 1 to 8.

Number Of Result Missing Keys - how many results it will return in the report.

Number Of Results - At Different Values - how many results it will return in the report.

Test Execution Timeout - what will be the default timeout value of the Test if it didn't finish before.

Test Execution Timeout Type - time parameter (minutes/hours etc.).

Execution Flow Timeout - what will be the timeout value of the Execution Flow if it didn't finish.

Execution Flow Timeout Type - time parameter (minutes/hours etc.)

Don't show NULL value(s) in downloaded Excel file- when exporting test results, empty values will appear instead of NULL values.

Fail Data Validation test when Data Set is empty - if this check box is marked then DV Test will fail when the Data Set is empty. If this check box isn't marked, then DV Test will pass successfully when the Data Set is empty.

Fail Test on Variable Error - if marked, the Test will fail if a variable-related error occurs during the Test run, ensuring strict validation of variable dependencies.

Chunk settings section: 

Users can set global default chunk sizes for each Test type.

Log settings section:

Users can save Test results in log tables on any Test status and can define the desired number of rows that should be saved.

Note: most of the fields can be set separately for each specific Test/EF.
