Project Permission allows to grant different permission to RDAE Users for each FWs in the specific Project, based on the Role they belong to. These permissions maintain data integrity, security, and efficient collaboration by regulating User access to FWs.
Accessing Project Permissions:
Navigate to the Projects grid:
Reference Data Designer->Settings -> Projects
1. Access the desired Project from projects grid.
2. Choose the specific Role to modify and click on the "Role permissions" button:
3. After selecting the Project, a list of all the available FWs in it, will be displayed.
Select the FW for which you need to edit the access permissions, and click it's name for editing:
View this form - by toggling the switcher, you can enable or disable the User's viewing permissions for the current FW.
If the FW is allowed for viewing, a variety of options for defining Role Permissions will become available:
Allow edit rows - RDAE User is allowed to edit rows in the FW.
Allow add new rows - RDAE User is allowed to add new row(s) to the FW.
Allow delete - RDAE User is allowed to delete existing rows from the FW.
Filter created by user -records will be filtered based on the user who created them. This permission is applicable in FWs where row auditing is enabled. For example, if a row was added by "User A," this filter ensures that only rows created by "User A" are displayed to them.
Enable Upload - RDAE User is allowed to upload files to the FW.
Allow control new rows - RDAE User is allowed to edit /delete new row(s).
Allow SQL search text box - enables adding a WHERE clause to the Advanced Search in Step 4. This toggle is relevant only for Oracle DB's.
