RDA - Reference Data Admin
RDAD - Reference Data Admin Designer
The Role Global Permissions allow to control permissions of every User/Group of Users that are assigned to a specific Role.
Note:
- these permissions apply to a Role in the application, namely, it applies to all the Projects that are related to this Role.
- Project-level permissions are set at the Project default permissions level or for a specific Project separately.
To control Role Global Permissions, in RDAD module, in the left side menu go to "RDA Designer -> Settings -> Roles":
Choose a specific Role from the list, click it's name and in the opened screen click "Role Global Permissions" button:
The following screen will open:
"Data Sources" section:
Create a new data source - allows creating new Data Source(s).
Edit data sources - allows editing existing Data Source(s).
Delete data sources - allows deleting existing Data Source(s).
Assign project to data sources - allows assigning Project(s) to Data Source(s).
"Projects" section:
Create a new project - allows to create new Project(s).
Edit projects - allows to edit existing Project(s).
Delete Projects - allows to delete existing Project(s).
Assign data sources to projects - allows assigning Data Source(s) to Project(s).
Assign roles to projects - allows assigning Role(s) to Project(s).
Note: disabling all the sub permissions will provide view-only permission!:
"Manage Application Security" section:
Create a new role - allows to create new Role(s).
Edit role, assign projects, users and groups to a role - allows to edit existing Role(s), assign Project(s), User(s) and Group(s) to the Role(s).
Delete Role - allows deleting existing Role(s).
Manage global role permissions - allows to manage global Role's permissions.
Note: disabling all the sub permissions will provide view-only permission.
"Deploy" section:
Deploy (export) project related objects - allows to deploy Project's related objects.
Deploy data sources - allows to deploy Data Source(s).
Deploy projects - allows to deploy Project(s).
Deploy roles - allows to deploy Role(s).
